Doubt. It happens to all of us. There are times when we doubt our friends, our family, and even ourselves. Doubt creeps in and breaks us down and slowly tears away at the foundations of our true, love, hope, and faith. Doubt is a repetitive threat that can shatter our lives if we aren’t careful.

Most of the things people doubt are out of our control. People fear the outcomes of the future. We allow infinite situations to swim around in our minds as we wonder how things will play out, when really, there’s not much we can do. Things will play out as they will and life will go on.

But perhaps the easiest thing to doubt, is the most crucial piece to the puzzle of our lives. God. In a time of hardship, it’s so simple to be skeptical about His love because our minds are focused on how we can solve the problem and what we can do and how we are going to be effected. We try to solve issues independently and forget the help we have.

For God promises that “neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God.” (Romans 8:38-39) No matter what happens, we always have an access to God’s love. A love that will hold us and protect us. A love that is able to calm the seas and make the dead live again. A love that in whatever place we are at, will encourage our spirits and relieve the fears we have. A love that while we are sinners and completely don’t deserve it, gave the ultimate sacrifice and created a path for us. “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)

So in doubt, reflect on all He has done and know that no matter what, He is watching out for you as you go through life. His unending love will never falter and will stay with you always.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaih 41:10)
